About the Position:

We are looking for a 1st Year Apprentice in Inverell.

This full-time opportunity will allow you to complete a Certificate III in Agricultural Mechanical Technology.

You will gain valuable hands-on experience, skills and support and secure a long-term career that could set you up for life.

Working on world class John Deere equipment and being guided and instructed by qualified Trade personnel, you will learn:

  • Diagnostics
  • Repairs
  • Maintenance
  • Assembly
  • Administration

You will attend and participate in all classes at TAFE College as required in accordance with your training agreement and participate in Chesterfield Australia and John Deere training sessions/days.

Requirements:

  • A current driver’s licence with your own reliable transport.
  • A strong aptitude for hands-on, mechanical tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Reliability, self-motivation and a willingness to work.
  • The ability to perform physical work in sometimes demanding conditions.
  • The commitment to attend TAFE and pass all practical and theory-based training requirements of an apprenticeship.

We are looking for qualified Mechanic / Service Technicians for field based roles in the following branches:

  • Inverell, NSW  – A charming & elegant rural service centre located on a bend in the Macintyre River in a mixed farming district known for its wheat, grapes olives, maize, barley and oats
  • Moree, NSW  –  Blessed with some of the world’s richest black soil, the area is a major agricultural centre ensuing large scale cultivation of crops possible

You are our customer’s support on their properties & the face of Chesterfield Australia.  You will perform basic & complex diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on a variety of large and small diesel equipment and engines.

Working predominately on world class John Deere equipment, you will enjoy the challenges this dynamic role offers.

We are looking for a Warehouse professional who will be an integral part of our Dalby team.

This role is all about customer service and working with the team to ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time!

Our Goondiwindi parts department have an exciting opening for a skilled Spare Parts Interpreter.

You will be flexible, pro-active and adept at providing parts interpreting and sales support to our valued customers.

You will:

About the Position:

As a Technology Specialist, you will deliver consultant-based services relating to machine / AMS optimisation across the Goondiwindi region.

What will you do?

  • Directly assist customers with GreenStar™ product & application information
  • Assist with machine start-up & deliver technology-based product optimisation sessions
  • Coordinate installation, upgrades & repair / maintenance of our RTK network base stations
  • Assist customers with data flow from machines and use of MyJohnDeere web portal
  • Support & train our sales & service employees to assist with high level AMS issues
  • Support Sales employees with product demonstrations, field days & customer events.
  • Meet key sales volume and sales objectives.
  • Remain current on production practices, latest trends & changes in regulations.

Requirements:

Hands on experience with Agricultural Equipment & GreenStar™, in a Sales, Integrated Solutions or Service role, & an understanding of crop production is highly advantageous.

It’s important that you will be able to work well in a team & convey technical information effectively to small groups.

This role also requires as a minimum:

About the Position:

Chesterfield is expanding our portfolio within agriculture; we are entering the Irrigation Business with the “Valley” overhead irrigation brand.

Based at one of our larger regional branches in NSW; our Irrigation Specialist will be involved in the promotion, configuration & sales of overhead irrigation systems with clients in the cropping, livestock and turf markets.

This position will involve such things as:

  • Provide training to CA salespeople.
  • Technical support to existing irrigation units.
  • Work directly with prospective clients to understand needs.
  • Meet sales volume & profitability.
  • Integrate irrigation technology to new & existing clients.
  • Coordinate the assembly & commissioning of units.
  • Assists in reviews of parts.
  • Promotes pre-season maintenance programs.
  • Attends relevant industry seminars & facilitates customer events and field days.

About You:

You will have significant field-based experience in the overhead irrigation industry with a passion for ensuring your clients’ needs are met based on their requirements.

You are highly self-motivated, sales driven and a great team player.
