Deborah Pennefather is the only daughter of Chesterfield Australia founder, Anthony Pennefather and has held a position as Non Executive Director on the Board since 2009.
Deborah has built a successful career in the hospitality and catering industries following extensive study assignments in London and Paris. Deborah has held Senior Management positions as Head Chef, Operations Manager and Executive Caterer locally and internationally.
Deborah has formal qualifications and business experience in property development in Sydney, to which she applies her extensive knowledge and passion of Interior and Exterior Design.
Campbell Pennefather is the only son of Chesterfield Australia founder, Anthony Pennefather and has held a position as Non Executive Director on the Board for nearly two decades.
Campbell has had extensive experience in a variety of roles with the company since 1993. He was Executive Chairman of the Chesterfield Australia Board from 2005 to 2009.
Campbell is also a qualified commercial pilot.
Theo Casimatis joined the Board of Chesterfield Australia as a Non Executive Director in 2012 following the retirement of Judy Pennefather.
Theo was born in Wellington, New South Wales and moved to Sydney with his family when he completed primary school.
On completion of Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at the University of New South Wales, Theo started practising as a lawyer in 1981, specialising in commercial law.
Theo first became a partner of a law firm in 1986. Currently Theo practises as a partner with Sparke Helmore Lawyers in Sydney which is a national firm with offices in most states of Australia and he has held Board positions with Sparke Helmore and other law firms.
Theo acts for other major organisations such as ANZ Bank, Caltex, Capcorp, Charter Hall, EG Funds Management, GPT and Westpac/St George Bank.
Jeff McDermid GAICD FAC
Jeff McDermid was appointed as Chairman of the Board for Chesterfield effective August 2017. Jeff joined the Board of Chesterfield Australia as a Non Executive Director in November 2013.
Jeff is a former partner of Ernst & Young and the founder of his own accounting firm that grew organically to be ranked 53rd in Australia by BRW. As part of a long-term succession plan, he retired from his firm in 2011 and embarked on his new career as a professional Company Director. His Board roles straddle the aged care, property development, human resources, tourism and technology industries.
Jeff brings to the Board of Chesterfield Australia a wide variety of skills and experience in financial management, corporate governance and strategic thinking.
Kalvin Booth joined Chesterfield Australia as Chief Financial Officer in June 2014.
Kalvin is a chartered accountant and has worked in Australia and overseas for a range of companies including large public listed and medium sized private companies. His industry experience includes agriculture, construction, private equity and banking.
Working for an ASX200 agricultural company followed by 10 years leading finance teams in private family businesses allows Kalvin to bring much strength and experience to Chesterfield Australia’s financial capabilities.
